I Forgot to Tell you Your Offer Was Not Accepted

I Forgot to Tell you Your Offer Was Not Accepted

Pleasant agent on the phone.

“I didn’t hear back from you. You said there were four offers. Did we get the house?”

“What was the name of the buyer? “I Forgot to Tell you Your Offer Was Not Accepted

“Oh, yeah. Let me see where we are. We ended up getting 5 offers. Just got the last one earlier today. The phone has been ringing non stop.”

I look in Equator under the property - and I can’t find the buyer’s name on any of the offers. A cold chill goes up my back. Did we lose an offer? Did we just not present it at all?

I put the name into Outlook. Lots of emails with this agent. Good sign. But where is the offer?

“What property was this on?”

“The Shoreline house.”

I Forgot to Tell you Your Offer Was Not Accepted

“OH!!! I’m sorry, we have had 3 multiple offers going this week and one of our staff has been gone all week. Forget everything I was saying... I was talking about the Edmonds house.”

“What?”

“I was looking under the wrong property, and was freaking out because I did not see your offer. Oh yeah. Here it is. An offer was accepted two days ago.”

“It wasn’t ours?”

“No. You made a great offer. You really did. Full price. Good terms. But there were two offers substantially better than yours.”

“Can you tell me how much over full price the property went for?”

“I can’t. You will have to wait until it closes.”

“So why did you not notify us that we did not get the house?”

“That is a good question. I apologize. I thought we got back to everybody, but obviously we did not.”

So that was the phone call where, I Forgot to Tell you Your Offer Was Not Accepted
